Our Vision
Founded in 2022 by local business and civic leaders, the Raleigh Police Department Foundation (RPDF) is dedicated to strengthening the Raleigh Police Department and enhancing public safety through community-driven support. As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we organize innovative programs and events that raise tax-deductible donations, directly funding advanced technology, specialized training, and critical resources for a highly skilled and well-equipped police force. The Need:
The demands on modern law enforcement continue to grow, department budgets remain stretched, leaving little room for critical tools, training, and technology beyond basic operations. Nearly 90% of public funding goes toward personnel, leaving a gap when it comes to innovation and safety. That’s where the Raleigh Police Department Foundation steps in. We exist to bridge that gap, delivering vital resources that help keep our officers safe, support community-based initiatives, and ensure Raleigh remains a place where safety and trust go hand in hand.
Our Impact:
Since our founding, the Raleigh Police Department Foundation has proudly raised over $6 million to support the safety and success of both our officers and the Raleigh community. Your donations have gone toward equipping the Raleigh Police Department with resources that go beyond what the city budget can provide—funding new horses for the mounted unit, advanced e-bikes and Enduro patrol bikes, real-time crime center technology, youth engagement programs, officer wellness initiatives, and more.
